The Union was saddened to learn of the loss of Fr Gabriel (Gay) Slattery (1961)

Fr. Gabriel (Gay) Slattery (1961) (Blanchardstown, Clontarf and Mount Merrion) died peacefully on the 18th June 2021 in the loving care of all the staff of the Beacon Hospital, beloved son of the late Michael and Delia, loving brother of Brendan and Mary (Coleman). Sadly missed by his brother, sister, sister-in-law Kirsi, brother-in-law Maurice, nieces and nephews Maria, Michael, Fiona, Theresa, Brian and Catherine, his fellow clergy, extended family and many friends.

In accordance with current Government guidelines and in the hope of keeping our friends and family safe, Gabriel’s Funeral will take place privately on Wednesday June 23rd, at 11am but can be viewed online at http://www.mountmerrionparish.ie/webcam/ followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society.
