The Union is saddened to learn of the death of Simon Kenny ,Beauharnois , Montreal, Quebec, Canada and formerly of Booterstown, Co Dublin on April 9th 2023 at the age of 88.

Simon was predeceased by his wife Christianne Mercier and his daughter Shannon.

Very sadly missed by his daughter Julie Laberge, her husband Francis and his granddaughters Emma and Maude.

Simon was the brother of the late James (Final Year 1954) and Paddy (1963) and is survived by his brothers John (1957), Joe (1958) and Noel (1965).

Simon will also be mourned by his Mercier and Kenny relatives, many former colleagues, cycling pals, friends and neighbours.

Simon’s funeral took place in Beauharnois on April 23rd 2023.
