Bees arrive in Blackrock College

There is a buzz around the campus because of the arrival of our 20,000 bees in 2 hives, courtesy of Niall Ringrose (class of 1979).

This is a tremendous initiative, and we look forward to the organisation of a bee-keeping course.

The hives are located at the Clareville end of the campus near the Sion Hill wall.

The bees are thriving and we look forward to trying some of their honey!

To find out more about bees, see below this lovely article written by Monty Tinsley (Class of 1959) written when he was in 4th year in the College.
