However, there was a bbq after the golf which was attended by 60 golfers, many of whom were junior Union members. There was a very noticeable presence of class of 1982 golfers in attendance, supporting Robert Brophy.

Union President, Robert Brophy in one of his first official functions since taking office in late August, addressed the gathering and thanked The Union Golf committee made up of Mark Collins, Stephen Noonan and Robert McCarthy for their work in organising the event. The Union President went on to thank Brigid O’Byrne for her fantastic work in planning the Union Golf Outings.

The Captain of the Golf Society for 2022 was announced as Denis Bergin from the Class of 1978.
