Recent donations to the Mission Fund enabled the purchase of much needed school equipment in Rotu, Kenya - one of the poorest spiritan missions. The Mission Fund also sponsor children in secondary education throughout the developing world. After several year of this programme, we are happy to report that many of our recent graduates who are now working are themselves sponsoring others who are unable to support themselves. Education is truly they way out of poverty and with your help we will continue to make this happen . If you wish to find out more, please contact the Mission Fund by emailing Union Office <unionoffice@rock.ie>
The following is from Fr. Sean McGoveran in Rotu.
Good afternoon Aiden
I hope you are keeping well.
This morning we had a little handing over ceremony of the desks you so kindly funded for Rotu primary school. They are 35 desk seating 3 students each. So a big contribution to this remote school.
Work on the classroom will be reported on later.
For now the desks part of the project is complete.
A thousand thanks to Blackrock.
God bless.
Sean
